Music Theory
Our emphasis on music theory provides students with a deeper understanding of how music works, enabling individuals to read, write, and interpret music more fluently.
Ear Training
Ear training improves students' ability to recognize and identify different musical elements such as pitches, intervals, chords, and rhythms by ear. It also enhances their overall musicality, enabling them to play by ear, improvise, and transcribe music more accurately and effectively.
Course Content
Overview
This program is designed for beginner piano players with little to no experience. Students will learn notes, how to read music, scales and how to play simple pieces. Miss Ashley teaches Levels 1 - 2 of our Music Learning Roadmap. Click here to view.
About Miss Ashley
Ashley earned her Bachelor of Music from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, studying under Alexander Shtarkman. She is currently pursuing her Master of Music degree at the Mannes School of Music with a scholarship, under the legendary master Ann Schein. Ashley won first prize in the Taipei City Music Competition and second prize in the International Youth Chopin Piano Competition in Vietnam, where she was praised by the judges and Master Dang Thai Son as a "musical young pianist."
