Brighter Bee Academy
Brighter Bee Academy was established in 2021, born out of a shared vision and passion for quality after-school programs for kids. Drawing inspiration from the boundless curiosity and industriousness of bees, they envisioned a place where young minds could buzz with excitement and explore the wonders of knowledge. Our team of educators is made up of experts in music, math, language, art and much more. Meet our team.
School Environment
Located in Jersey City, New Jersey, Brighter Bee Academy is a short walk from the Grove Street PATH Station, Frank R Conwell School (PS#3), Cornelia F Bradford Elementary School (PS#5) and Dr. Michael Conti School (PS#16). Our school offers a range of facilities to support our students and staff. We have two pianos, a baby grand and an upright, for music lessons and practice. Our classrooms are large and spacious, and we also have private rooms available for smaller classes.

Job Opportunities
ART TEACHER
Brighter Bee Academy is seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join our growing team! The ideal candidate is dedicated to cultivating a love of art in young learners (Grades K-5) through imaginative projects, exploration of various mediums, and encouraging self-expression.
Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging art lessons that foster creativity and artistic skill.

Introduce students to a variety of techniques, materials, and art history.

Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Communicate regularly with parents and staff regarding student progress.

Participate in occasional school events and exhibitions.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or related field (required)

Prior teaching experience strongly preferred

Knowledge of child development and classroom management

Passion for working with children and inspiring artistic expression

ENGLISH TEACHER
Brighter Bee Academy seeks an enthusiastic and nurturing English Teacher to support literacy development for students in Grades K-5. The ideal candidate is committed to fostering a love of reading and writing through interactive lessons and supportive feedback.
Responsibilities:

Create and teach lessons aligned with literacy goals for young learners.

Guide students in developing skills in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.

Adapt lessons to diverse learning styles and abilities.

Provide regular student progress updates to parents and administrators.

Foster a warm and motivating classroom environment.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field (required)

Experience teaching or tutoring elementary-aged students preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
